La Villa football team to host a home conference game vs. Three Rivers this Friday Oct 9th. @ 7:30pm. Come out and support your Cardinals!

JH Softball and Baseball Teams travel to Raymondville

The La Villa Junior High softball team and baseball team traveled to Raymondville for the 2nd to last game of the season.  The Cardinal baseball team was led offensively by Leroy Luna who went 1-2 at bat with a double.  Cristian Perez pitched 2 innings giving up only 1 run and striking out 3 batters. 

JH Track Team performs well at District

It took two trips to Riviera for the JH track team to complete their district track meet, with the final day coming on Monday afternoon.  Robbie Sue Espericueta continued her dominance in the 800m run and 1600m run, winning district in both events and placing 2nd in the high jump as well.  Savannah Rubalcaba placed

Tennis Team advances 6 to regionals

The district meet took place in Bishop on Thursday April 9th and the La Villa Cardinals advanced 6 of its members to the Regional tournament on April 20th in Corpus Christi.  Joel Rios and Isaiah Trevino defeated the varsity boys doubles team from Riviera 6-2, 6-2 for the district championship in that division.  Raven Garza

La Villa Junior High Softball Team defeats Lasara

Lasara – The La Villa Junior High softball team defeated Lasara Wednesday night by a score of 12-1.  The young Lady Card’s huge win was earned with great plays made all around including 3 infield home runs.  Brianna Gonzalez was on the mound, and according to Coach Guzman, her play was outstanding along with Karla

The La Villa Junior High baseball team avenged an early season loss at the hands of the Lasara Lions by defeating them Wednesday night 11-7.  The smashing Cards were led offensively by Cristian Perez who went 2 for 4, John Trey Garcia who went 3 for 3 and Donald Grant who went 2 for 2

The Lady Cardinals played host to the San Perlita Lady Trojans Tuesday night for the second time this season in an exciting and important softball game.  Trailing 7-10, the Lady Cards rallied at the bottom of the 6th inning for 8 runs that would seal the victory by a margin of 15-10.  The 15 runs
